Community

Highlighting the perspectives of our underrepresented community members will also generate interest in and support for queer, trans, and API communities — especially youth. The anthology will be resource for LGBTQIA+ & API community members and advocates around the world. We celebrate and honor people who identify under the API transmasculine umbrella, recognizing that we have complex intersectional experiences of marginalization, discrimination, strength, resiliency, and creativity. We welcome all ethnicities and cultures — including Arab, Middle Eastern, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, South Asian, Southeast Asian, East Asian, West Asian, mixed-heritage, transracial adoptees, and any other self-identified Asian Pacific Islanders. We also welcome all gender identities, bodies, and presentations — including trans, gender nonconforming, gender expansive, nonbinary, genderqueer, masculine-of-center, butch, stud, and any other self-identified transmasculine folks. Lastly, we welcome people of all religions, immigration statuses, sexualities, socioeconomic backgrounds, disabilities, sizes, and ages.
